Costa Concordia Death Toll 13--The death toll from Costa Concordia has risen to 13 and 22 missing. On Wednesday,Carnival Chief Executive Micky Arison said in a statement that he gives his personal assurance that the company will take care of each and every one of their guests, crew and their families affected by this tragic event.
Italian investigators said other unregistered passengers might have been aboard the ship after drivers yesterday retrieved the corpse of a woman, bringing the number of known dead to 13.
The victim, thought to be Hungarian, is believed to be among the missing who have not been officially recorded.
As of today, 22 people are listed as missing, but the possibility of unknown passengers means that number could rise. Carnival Corp. faces criticism for its handling of the tragedy.
